Zendesk toolkit for Arcade enables agents and apps to interact with Zendesk support and Help Center resources — reading and updating tickets, managing comments, and searching knowledge base articles — via OAuth-authenticated API calls.

Capabilities

  • Ticket management: List tickets with offset-based pagination, mark tickets as solved (with optional final comment), and retrieve direct html_url links to any ticket in Zendesk.
  • Comment operations: Add comments to existing tickets and retrieve full comment threads, including original descriptions, author IDs, public/internal flags, timestamps, and file attachments.
  • Knowledge base search: Search published Help Center articles by query and/or label names, with combined multi-filter support in a single call and paginated results via next_offset.
  • Account introspection: Fetch the authenticated user's profile, role, organization details, and Zendesk account context.

OAuth

This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 via the Zendesk provider. See the Arcade provider docs for setup details: https://docs.arcade.dev/en/references/auth-providers/zendesk

Secrets

  • ZENDESK_SUBDOMAIN: Your Zendesk account subdomain — the <subdomain> portion of https://<subdomain>.zendesk.com. This is not a credential but a required routing value so the toolkit knows which Zendesk instance to target. You can find it by logging into your Zendesk account and inspecting the URL. Set this as a secret in your Arcade configuration.

For details on configuring secrets in Arcade, see Tool Secrets. You can also manage secrets directly at https://api.arcade.dev/dashboard/auth/secrets.
