Microsoft Word Toolkit
The Microsoft Word toolkit connects Arcade to Microsoft Word via OneDrive, enabling LLMs to create, read, and edit .docx files programmatically.
Capabilities
- Document creation: Create new Word documents in OneDrive with optional initial text content (4 MB upload limit).
- Document retrieval: Fetch document metadata and full content (returned as Markdown by default); supports metadata-only mode for lightweight lookups. Restricted to
.docxformat. - Document editing: Append text to the end of existing
.docxdocuments (4 MB limit). - User context: Retrieve information about the authenticated user and their Microsoft Word/OneDrive environment.
OAuth
This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 via Microsoft. Arcade handles the authorization flow automatically. See the Microsoft auth provider docs for setup details, required permissions, and token configuration.
